TripX editorial standards
Global TripX (TripX) is a travel curation brand built on one rule: only what we have checked. This page explains how we choose, check and correct information.
How we choose sources
- Tier 1 (official): governments, embassies, tourism boards, airlines and airports, each company’s official site, and list owners such as the MICHELIN Guide.
- Tier 2 (media/industry): established news outlets and trade publications, used only when no tier-1 source is available.
- Personal blogs, review aggregators and unsourced posts are never used as evidence.
Fact-checking and “checked” dates
- Facts are copied as the source states them, with a source link and check date on every page.
- Safety, value-travel and guide pages show “last checked · number of sources”.
- When an official page cannot be opened from our server, we check its text through a search tool and record that method; sources re-checked by a person in a browser are updated.
- If we cannot verify something, we do not guess — we link to the official way to find it.
- We do not publish prices or availability, and never write reviews of places we have not visited.
How affiliate commissions work
- Some product cards (stays, tours, tickets, eSIMs) are affiliate links. If you book through them, TripX may earn a commission from the seller at no extra cost to you.
- Affiliate cards are grouped separately with a commission notice at the top. Body text and menus never carry affiliate links.
- Commissions never change the order or content of our information lists. Links to drugstores, restaurants and shops are not affiliate links.
- No fake urgency or invented numbers — our build checks block them before anything is published.
